I'm finishing a master's in computer science, specializing in artificial intelligence, at KU Leuven, Belgium. For my thesis, I'm investigating how to control what language models generate by combining hard guarantees with soft steering. Before that, I graduated with a bachelor's in computer science and engineering from Sabancı University in Turkey, where my graduation project focused on applying retrieval-augmented generation in the education domain.
Along the way, I've done storage systems research at Imec, worked as a data engineer at Amazon, and been involved in several projects.

Somewhere between machine learning, information retrieval, language models, and software systems is where I spend most of my time. I'm interested in how intelligent systems learn, retrieve, reason, and scale.
